WELCOME:

ABOUT VofEAS

In the 1970’s a small group of art enthusiasts met at Wallace House, then later at the Methodist Church Hall, under the name of Vale of Evesham Society of Artists.  At this time the Society had a ‘twinning’ arrangement with an art group in Melsungen in Germany.  Then in 1987 the name was changed to EVESHAM ART SOCIETY.  Once the change from afternoon meetings to monthly evening meetings was made, the membership rapidly increased.

In 2016, the name has again changed to Vale of Evesham Art Society (VofEAS), as the members are now spread across The Vale, living in the surrounding villages.

Since 2000 the Society has been meeting on the third Wednesday of each month between 7.30 and 9.30 pm, now at The Baptist Church on Offenham Road. The membership averages around 60, and forms a good mix of artists of all standards.  We enjoy a varied programme of activities which include demonstrations in all media, talks, practical sessions and social events.

The Art Society holds Art Demonstrations by professional artists on the third Wednesday evening, once a month. This is a chance for the group to ask questions and watch how an artist works and pick up some great tips.

Live Demonstrations take place at The Baptist Church, Offenham Road, Evesham. â€‹â€‹

Refreshments available. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN MUG!

Throughout the year the society holds practical 'workshops' where you will have the opportunity to create a piece of work under the tutorship of a professional artist.
