About the event

We will work to develop the quiet elegance and detailed textures of nature and you will learn to bring this subject to life on paper. Focusing on fine detail, shading techniques, tips and techniques for realistic fur rendering, this session will guide you step by step in mastering depth, contrast and form using graphite pencils.
Whether you want to refine your skills or explore realism for the first time, you will discover how subtle tonal shifts and careful observation can transform a simple sketch into a striking, lifelike portrait. The use of graphite enables us to slow down, sharpen technique, and create a piece that feels both delicate and dynamic.
This workshop is suitable for all levels and all materials are supplied. Attendees will just need to bring their enthusiasm and patience; this is one not to be rushed!

Materials:
A range of graphite pencils - HB, 3B, 9B
